The ministry of urban development has approved the action plans under the Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY) for heritage sites by HRIDAY national empowered committee head Madhusudhan Prasad

Total Outlay: Rs 431 crore.

Eight cities and it’s allotted amount

Varanasi Rs 130 crore
Mathura Rs 41.37 crore
Ajmer and Pushkar Rs 60.98 crore
Dwarka in Gujarat Rs 19.56 crore
Vellankini in Tamil Nadu Rs 42.26 crore
Warangal in Telangana Rs 72.97 crore
Amaravati in Andhra Pradesh Rs 20.33 crore

HRIDAY Scheme :

Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY) scheme launched on 21st January, 2015  with a focus on holistic development of heritage cities.
