“The saint of the gutters”, Mother Teresa has been posthumously conferred with the United Kingdom’s prestigious Founders Award 2016.

  • The award was received by the only living relative of Mother Teresa, 72 year old niece, Agi Bojazhiu.
  • Mother Teresa founded the Missionaries of Charity and spent 45 years serving the poor, the sick, the orphaned. She died at the age of 87 in Kolkata in 1997.
