United Bank of India had released a recruitment notification for the post of Probationary Officers JMGS-I through Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance course. Today it conducted exam for the same. The overall exam was easy to moderate. Here we are sharing the review of same.

Quant Section
Quant section was easy to moderate carrying good questions. Some questions were bit calculative as they are part of Quant section. The topics were
- Simplification – 5 questions
- Number series – 5 questions
- Quadratic Equation – 5 questions
- Data Interpretation – 3 sets (15 questions each)
- Data Sufficiency – 5 questions
- Questions from other topics including Partnership, Time and Work, SI, Averages, Boat n Stream, Profit/Loss, Mixture n Alligation – 15 questions (easy to moderate)
Reasoning Section
This section was moderate carrying 3 puzzles, which were bit time consuming. Although SBI discarded Syllogism topic in their recruitment exams, UBI followed same pattern of questions by adding Syllogism questions.

- Machine Input/Output – 5 questions
- Syllogism – 5 questions
- Data Sufficiency – 5 questions
- Puzzles n Arrangements – 3 sets (15 questions)
- Logical Reasoning – 10 questions
- Miscellaneous (Blood relation, direction sense, etc) – 5 questions
English Section
English section was easy to moderate as always.
- Reading Comprehension – 1 passage (10 questions)
- Cloze test – 10 questions
- Error spotting – 10 questions
- Fillers (2 blanks) – 5 questions
- Parajumbles – 5 questions
- Sentence Improvement – 5 questions
General Awareness Section
This sections was easy as reported by students carrying banking awareness questions, static GK and current affairs. Static GK questions were less. Most questions were related to the current affairs.
