Telangana-CM-launches-‘Dharani’-Portal-for-land-&-property-registrationsOn October 29, 2020, Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao launched ‘Dharani’ Portal for Land & Property Registrations at Mudu Chintalapalli village of Medchal-Malkajgiri district, Telangana.

The portal is a one-of-its-kind integrated Land Record Management System.

Key Points:

i.The Portal has been developed by Telangana State Technology Services (TSTS).

ii.Using the portal, one can register their property, succession and also partition of agriculture lands. After the registration, the owner will be provided with an e-pattadar passbook.

iii.It provides a permanent Geographic Information System (GIS) based solution to illegal land grabbing and legal disputes over ownership rights.

iv.It aims to reduce loopholes in the registration process.

v.It is part of the recent revenue reforms taken by Telangana State Government.

vi.It aims to put an end to encroachment of government lands and other private properties.
