TCS, HDFC, Airtel And Infosys Indian Firms Among World's Most Valuable Brands in Kantar BrandZ report 2024According to the Kantar BrandZ, “2024 World’s Most Valuable Global Brands” report, 4 Indian companies namely, Tata Consultancy Service (TCS), HDFC Bank, Airtel and Infosys were featured among the top 100 most valuable global brands.

  • Apple retained its 1st position for the 3rd consecutive time and has also become the 1st global brand to surpass USD 1 trillion in value with total valuation of USD 1016 billion, followed by Google with valuation of USD 753.5 billion and Microsoft with valuation of USD 712.9 billion with global ranking of 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
  • The cumulative value of the top 100 most valuable global brands has increased by 20% compared to previous year edition.
  • According to the Kantar BrandZ 2024 report, 5 new entrants are among the Top 100 most valuable global brands including: Lululemon secured 92nd position with valuation of USD 20.6 billion and Corona which has been ranked at 100th position with total valuation of USD 19 billion.

Key Highlights of Kantar BrandZ 2024 World’s Most Valuable Brands Report:

i.The report is compiled based on the opinions of over 4.3 million respondents and about 21, 000 brands across 532 categories.

ii.According to the report, the business technology and services platforms category witnessed a significant growth of 45% in its total value which is partly driven by advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI).

iii.NVIDIA company saw significant improvement in its overall ranking by jumping 18 places to the 6th spot, due to exponential increase in its brand value of 178% and now, total brand value of company is around USD 201.8 billion.

iv.International Companies mostly tech giants which made into the top 10 most valuable global brands in 2024 includes:

  • Visa (ranked at 7th spot) with total brand valuation of USD 188.9 billion, Meta, formerly known as Facebook (ranked at 8th spot) with valuation of USD 166.8 billion, Oracle (ranked at 9th spot) with valuation of USD 145.5 billion and Tencent (ranked at 10th spot) with brand value of USD 135.2 billion.

v.According to the report, Google Cloud, Booking.com and Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. emerged as the fastest risers amongst the 13 category rankings.

India-Specific:

i.TCS emerged as India’s most valuable brand in the latest Kantar BrandZ 2024 report by securing 46th spot with brand valuation of USD 44.8 billion.

  • But this year, the rank of TCS decreased by 4 places, compare to its 42nd rank in 2023 list.

ii.HDFC Bank has improved its rank from 56th position (in 2023) to 47th position (in 2024) with total brand valuation of USD 43.3 billion.

iii.Airtel secured 73rd position in the list with total brand valuation of USD 25.3 billion. In 2023, Airtel was ranked at 76th position.

iv.The rank of Infosys has also dropped from 66th position(in 2023) to 74th (in 2024). The total brand valuation of company in 2024 is USD 24.7 billion.

v.The combined brand value of all Indian brands on the top 100 list is more than USD 130 billion.
