Tamil Nadu celebrates its 1st state formation day on November, 1, 2019

On November 1, 2019, Tamil Nadu (TN) state government has observed its first state formation day as Tamil Nadu Day. Organised by the Tamil Development Department, the celebration witnessed various cultural events in the state. Chief Minister (CM) of TN, Edappadi K. Palaniswami & Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam also took part in the event.

A conference was organised at Kalaivanar Arangam on Wallajah Road on Tamil scholars and award-winners and traditional and cultural programmes.

ii.From the erstwhile Madras Presidency (also known as madras province) under the British regime, the Madras State was formed on November 1, 1956, and Madras State was eventually renamed Tamil Nadu On January 14, 1969.

TN  govt panel approves Rs 8,120 crore worth projects

On November 1, 2019, A high-powered committee, formed on September 19,2019, headed by Tamil Nadu (TN) Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, approved Rs 8,120 crore worth investments in 21 industrial projects in the State that would create job opportunities for about 16,000 persons. The projects will begin in Chennai, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallore, Salem, Coimbatore and Villupuram districts.
