Sourabh Verma at 29th spot in BWF Ranking 2019; becomes 6th Indian inside top 30; Japan’s Kento Momota tops

On 3rd December 2019, Sourabh Verma enters the top 30 list of the BWF (Badminton World Federation) 2019 and takes the 29th place, he is also the 6th Indian to be in the list, making India the first country to have six players in the top 30 list, China is the second country to have five players on the list. Sourabh Verma is from Madhya Pradesh (MP) and resides in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.Sourabh-VarmaKey Points:

i.Sourabh Verma has previously reached the top 30 in the year 2012 by taking the 30th place, he has also won the BWF super 100 titles in Hyderabad and Vietnam and he is the Runner-up of Syed Modi International (Super 300) in the year 2019. In May 2012, he won the Slovenia International Series. Entering the top 30 list is the highest rank of Sourabh Verma.

ii.Ashmita Chaliha, Indian woman Badminton player from Guwahati, Assam also made a massive jump by moving 18 places and enters the top 100 list after she won the TATA Open India International challenge and Dubai International challenge in the year 2018.

iii. Other Indian Badminton players P.V Sindhu and Saina Nehwal hold their World number 6 and Number 10 positions respectively.
