The State Bank of India conducts the SBI PO Exam for the recruitment of Probationary Officers in its branches across the country. The SBI PO 2018 official notification is out and here’s all the details you need to know. SBI-PO 2018 Exam ReqImportant Dates

  • Online Registration Begins: 21 April 2018
  • Online Registration Ends: 13th May 2018
  • Date of Prelims: 1st, 7th, 8th of July 2018
  • Date of Mains: 4th August 2018 

Eligibility 

Educational Qualification

  • The candidates need to be ‘Graduates’ in any discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
  • Candidates in their final year/semester of graduation will be required to produce proof of having passed their graduation examination.
  • Candidates possessing qualification of Chartered Accountant may also apply.

Age limit (As on 1st April 2018) : 21 – 30 years

SBI PO 2018 – Exam Dates

The dates for SBI PO 2018 Prelims and Mains are not yet announced. The expected dates for SBI PO 2018 prelims would be in May. We will update once the official notification is released.

SBI PO 2018 Mains Exam Pattern

(i) Objective test

Marks: 50 Marks(ii) English Language Descriptive Test: Letter Writing & Essay

Duration: 30 Minutes

Candidates are supposed to clear descriptive test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.

Note: Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Group Exercises (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks)

The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the objective and the descriptive test will be arranged in descending order in each category. Adequate number of candidates in each category (as decided by the bank) will be called for the Group Exercises and Interview.

Final Selection

The marks obtained in the Main Exam (Objective + Descriptive test) will be added to the marks obtained in Group exercises and Interview to form the final merit list. However, the marks obtained in Preliminary exam will not be added to the final list.

The candidates will have to qualify in both Phase II and III separately to be considered for the final merit list.

SBI PO 2018: Job Responsibilities & Salary

An SBI PO is typically responsible for the below tasks:

  • Customer services
  • Bringing new business
  • Cash handling
  • Payment clearance
  • Maintaining reports

The total compensation per annum on CTC basis be a minimum of 8.20 lacs and maximum of 13.08 lacs depending on place of posting and other factors.
