On June 29, 2020, SAP India Private Limited, a subsidiary of Germany based enterprise technology firm, in partnership with National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) Foundation, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Pratham InfoTech Foundation, has rolled out Global Bharat program to equip micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by providing them access to global marketplace, digital skilling for the workforce and transforming business processes.
Global Bharat:
- With the help of this program, SAP India will also provide MSMEs access to their enterprise resource planning (ERP) software through the Business One Starter Pack on the cloud made available at Rs 3,999 per user per month.
- As a part of the programme, MSMEs will have open access to B2B marketplace SAP Ariba Discovery which allows buyer can post sourcing needs and any of the four million suppliers on Ariba Network can respond to deliver the goods and services required with no fees through the end of 2020.
- Additionally, SAP India will also supply MSMEs entry to its digital skilling platform ‘Code Unnati’, through which they will be able to access 240 digital courses on electronic, monetary, smooth abilities and productive systems that will digitally talent the workforce and adapt to the new performing environments.
Key Points:
i.As per SAP, the MSME sector contributes 29% to India’s GDP and provides much needed employment to more than 111 million people.
ii.In June 2020, SAP has launched SAP S/4 HANA Cloud and SAP commerce cloud on its India data centre that allows firms to resolve customer demands.
