Sachin Awasthi Bagged Prestigious Global Humanitarian AwardOn 28th June 2020, Sachin Awasthi, the president of National Media Club and Founder of Shri Ram Seva Mission was honoured with the “Top Publicist” award in the Global Humanitarian Awards 2020 held as a webinar over a virtual platform in London.

H.E. Fatmir Sejdiu former president of Republic of Kosovo, H.E Madhav kumar, former prime minister of Nepal, Pedro I. Altamirano president of National Assembly, Andalusia- Spain.

Global Humanitarian Award:

i.The Global Humanitarian Award 2020 is instituted as a part of the Honoring the Honorable initiative of the World Humanitarian Drive(WHD).

ii.The award is to honour the popular men and women who contribute to the betterment of the society and the world.

iii.The nomination for the awards started on 27th April 2020 and over 1600 nominations were received from 37 countries across the 7 continents.

Sachin Awasthi:

i.He organised a 5 day long clean ganga awareness journey from Haridwar to Varanasi (Vande Gange Swachhata Jan Jagran Yatra)

ii.He inaugurated the Swachh Bharat – Sundar Bharat Mission in 2014 and released a first toll free number for cleanliness in India.

iii.He organised an event in 2017 to honour the people working for cleanliness in Lucknow.

iv.He organised a cleanliness drive with students of schools and colleges on the 21 kilometer Govardhan Parikrama Marg in Mathura and Banke Bihari Mandir and administered the cleanliness oath to thousands of people.

v.He cycled from 5300 Kilometers – Jammu & Kashmir to Kanyakumari to create awareness about the importance of cleanliness for which he and the National Media Club entered the Lima Book of Records.

vi.He organised a first regional journalist conference and launched the Media Journalist Directory.

vii.He provided Rs.1 lakh for the family of Pankaj Kulshrestha, journalist who was deployed in Agra and passed away due to COVID-19.
