The Reserve Bank of India keeps the key interest rates unchanged in its sixth bi-monthly policy review. The RBI reduced the statutory liquidity ratio (SLR), by 50 basis points to 21.5 percent of their net demand and time liabilities (NDTL).
The reduction in SLR will encourage banks to lend more to productive sectors on competitive terms so as to support investment and growth.
