On November 30, 2020 Punjab Government has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with International Digital Health & Artificial Intelligence Research Collaborative (I-DAIR) hosted at the Graduate Institute of International & Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland to develop and deploy digital technologies in the health sector.
- Punjab is the 1st govt partner of I-DAIR to develop models of people-centric digital infrastructures for health

Points to be Noted
i.The Department of Governance Reforms & Public Grievances, Govt of Punjab responsible for digital transformation work, leads the collaboration with I-DAIR in partnership with the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of Punjab.
ii.The Research and development (R&D) partners from academia, industry and the health care sector from Punjab and the neighbouring regions will be involved from the beginning.
Initial Agreements with Stakeholders
The MoU joins a set of initial agreements with stakeholders such as the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Foundation for Innovative & New Diagnostics (FIND) and the University of Geneva.
Provisions of MoU
I-DAIR and the state govt will lay groundwork for key projects shortly.
The projects include data interoperability, real time epidemiology and dashboard, benchmarking of digital health solutions.
It also includes ways to promote synergy across communities of practice which support and creates the state govt’s current digital health work

The collaboration will provide digital opportunity to around 30 million Punjab people to renew and revive the delivery of world’s health services.
