On December 23, 2020, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Captain Amarinder Singh launched ‘PR Insight’ – a Mobile Application & Web Portal, the application will serve as a platform for receiving feedback from people and will enable Government of Punjab to remove deficiencies in schemes & programs implemented by it. It has been developed by the Directorate of Information & Public Relations Department, Punjab.
The main objective of the application is to restructure the existing schemes & programmes after analyzing the feedback received from people.
Key Points:
i.PR will serve as a repository for all news articles & social media posts of Punjab.
ii.Around 31 Newspaper agencies/portal have been integrated into the application & portal, news articles will be fetched from these agencies on a real time basis.
iii.The news articles will be analyzed using advanced analytics & sentiment analysis to understand the citizen feedback & perception of Governance by citizens.
iv.The app will help the Government in identifying best practices from positively perceived programmes and replicate it.
v.The portal would perform auto segregation of news into positive, negative & neutral news based on sentiment analysis. Using the portal, the department can provide feedback to news agencies regarding clarification of news articles or social media posts by citizens.
