Fantasy author Sir Terry Pratchett has died aged at the age of 66 due to Alzheimer’s disease in London, UK. The author was very famous for his Discworld fantasy series. Terry penned more than 70 books during his career and completed his final book during last summer.
Terry was born on April 28, 1948 in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire to David and Eileen Pratchett. The Carpet People was his debut novel, which was published in 1971. The Color of Magic was Terry’s First Discworld novel, which was published in 1983.
Sir Terry was knighted by the Queen in 2009. At the turn of the century, Terry was Britain’s second most-read author, surpassed only by JK Rowling. He was also awarded the World Fantasy Award for Life Achievement in 2010.
