From February 21-23, 2024, the 9th edition of the Raisina Dialogue was held in New Delhi, Delhi which was inaugurated by the Prime Minister (PM) of Narendra Modi, and PM of the Hellenic Republic (Greece), Kyriakos Mitsotakis on the theme ‘Chaturanga: Conflict, Contest, Cooperate, Create’.
- The PM of Greece was the Chief Guest of the inaugural session.

It is hosted by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), with a support from number of institutions, organisations and individuals.
About Raisina Dialogue:
Held annually, this Dialogue is India’s premier conference tackling key global issues in geopolitics and geo-economics by fostering cross-sectoral discussions among heads of state, ministers, and thought leaders from various sectors.
Participation:
Over 2500 participants including Ministers, former Heads of State and Heads of Government, Military Commanders, Captains of Industry, Technology Leaders, Academics, Journalists, Scholars on Strategic Affairs, Experts from leading Think Tanks, and Youth from about 115 countries joined the Dialogue in-person, and the proceedings will be viewed by millions across the world on various digital platforms.

ii.On the sidelines of this Dialogue, India-Armenia Dialogue was held to bring the best minds from both sides to the Raisina platform and develop ambitious blueprints and practical steps.
Unveiling of logo celebrating 75 years of India-Finland diplomatic ties
As a part of Dialogue, Union Minister Dr. Subrahmanyam (S.) Jaishankar and Foreign Minister of Finland, Ms. Elina Valtonen unveiled a logo celebrating 75 years of India-Finland diplomatic ties in New Delhi
- Notably, year 2024 marks 75 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Finland.
Key Points:
i.The logo, designed and crafted by Indian student Aman Narayan from the World University of Design (WUD) in Haryana symbolizes the enduring friendship, cultural exchange, and collaborative spirit between the nations.
ii.It also anticipates a future marked by continued partnership, innovation, and mutual growth.
iii.Both sides explored avenues for collaboration in new sectors such as defence, security, and technology
Meeting of India’s MEA Minister and Foreign Minister of Denmark
On the sidelines of Raisina Dialogue, Union Minister S. Jaishankar, MEA held discussions with Foreign Minister of Denmark Lars Løkke Rasmussen, covering various bilateral, regional, and international issues of mutual interest.
- They also unveiled a joint logo marking 75 years of diplomatic ties between India and the Kingdom of Denmark in 2024.
Signing of Agreement:
Both Leaders signed a mobility and migration partnership agreement between India and Denmark to enhance people-to-people ties.
Key Points:
i.The Ministers decided to explore the possibilities of establishing a partnership on recruitment of Indian health care professionals for employment in Denmark.
ii.They agreed to finalize a mid-term review of the Green Strategic Partnership at the earliest in 2024, to conclude in an updated India-Denmark Joint Action Plan (2021-26).
- They also agreed to work towards an enhanced strategic perspective for a Comprehensive Green Strategic Partnership once the existing Joint Action Plan ends in 2026.
iii.It should be noted that under co-operation with Denmark, a Centre of Excellence for Smart Water Resources Management (CoESWaRM) and Smart Lab for Clean Rivers in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh (UP) on the lines of Smart City Lab in Panji was proposed to be established.
