Prime Minister Narendra Modi has flagged off the first ever express train from Naharlagun to New Delhi. He participated in the State’s 29th foundation day (February 20′ 2015) at Itanagar and expressed pride while inaugurating the rail connectivity from Naharlagun to New Delhi and to Guwahati.
Modi said “AC express train is an ‘anmol nazrana’ for the State of Arunachal Pradesh on the occasion of its 29th birthday”.
Modi commended Arunachal Pradesh government for the ‘Gati‘ (speed) and ‘Urja‘ (energy) shown by the state in recent years. The Prime Minister has assured more progress for the state in coming 5 years than the state have seen in last 28 years.
