Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually launched ‘Customized Crash Course programme for COVID-19 Frontline Workers’. The training programme will be conducted in 111 training centres spread over 26 states.
- Under the training programme about 1 lakh youth will be trained under in the next 2-3 months.
- The programme has been designed as a special programme under the Central Component of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0 (PMKVY 3.0) of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
- The programme aims to create skilled non-medical healthcare workers to fill the present and future needs of manpower in the health sector.
Key Points
i.The programme consists of 6 courses and has been designed by top experts of India. It has been created as per demands of the states and UTs.
ii.Training will be provided COVID-19 warriors in 6 customised job roles namely Home Care Support, Basic Care Support, Advanced Care Support, Emergency Care Support, Sample Collection Support, and Medical Equipment Support.
iii.The training program will include fresh skilling as well as upskilling of COVID-19 warriors who already have training in this type of work.
iv.The campaign will provide fresh energy to the health sector frontline force and provide job opportunities to the youth.
