Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel has attended 35th edition of Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) 2019 based on the theme āOil and Gas 4.0ā held in Abu Dhabi, UAE (United Arab Emirates) from 11 ā 14 November 2019.Key Points:
i.The conference, hosted by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), explores how upstream companies can navigate the new and challenging times facing the industry.
ii.It saw the participation of over 1,45,000 people from Government Ministers, global industry CEOs, policymakers, and leading energy companies.
Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurates the India Pavilion in UAE
PetroleumĀ Minister Dharmendra Pradhan along with Dr. Sultan Ahmad Al Jaber, UAE Minister of State and CEO, ADNOC jointly inaugurated the India Pavilions (a platform to showcase Indian Cinema in the overseas market) set up by 9 Indian Oil & Gas companies from the upstream, midstream, downstream and engineering segments, along with Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI), Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at the ADIPEC conference 2019.
Key Points:
i.As per Mr. Pradhan, India would invest $100 billion in refining, pipelines and gas terminals by the year 2024 .
ii.Mr. Pradhan held talks with H.E. Suhail Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Industry, and H.E. Dr. Sultan Ahmad Al Jaber, Minister of State and ADNOC Group CEO. They discussed issues of bilateral hydrocarbon and steel sectors that are engaged within the overall framework of the India-UAE Strategic Partnership.
iii.Indian governmental regulatory body Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH) conducted a Roadshow to attract foreign investment by global oil and gas majors in Indiaās Exploration & Production (E&P) and other areas in the oil and gas sector.
