PayPoint India made a partnership with Digit General Insurance to provide affordable COVID-19 Health Insurance policy to its customers in India’s underserved regions to improve the insurance access and assist the rural people in recovering themselves from financial losses due to the COVID-19.
- The partnership is being flagged off with the launch of a Coronavirus hospitalisation insurance policy that covers treatments up to Rs 2 lakh at a premium of Rs 799.
Premium and Benefits of the Health Insurance:
i.Post 24-hour ICU or HDU hospitalization, the COVID-19 hospitalization insurance policy offers a minimum of Rs. 1 lakh at a premium rate starting as low as Rs 487.
ii.The policy offers options of choosing a sum insured of Rs 1 lakh or Rs 2 lakh for individuals up to 65 years of age. It is available at PayPoint stores across India.
iii.The insurance covers pre-hospitalisation expenses for up to 30 days, post-hospitalisation expenses up to 60 days, road ambulance charges (one percent of the sum insured – up to ₹5,000).
iv.The policyholder could avail of the Cashless claims by displaying the e-health card at the network hospitals.
v.Digit General Insurance will be selling this policy online while PayPoint will be offering offline access and assistance to its clients.
vi.Digit General Insurance, stated as more than 80% of people in urban India and 85% of people in rural India do not have health insurance.
