Pakistan has successfully test fired the Air-Launched Cruise Missile Ra’ad, which means Thunder in Arabic. Ra’ad has a range of 350 kilometers. The success of this missile gives Pakistan Air Force a strategic standoff capability on land and at sea. It has low detection probability due to stealth design and materials used in its construction. Ra’ad is highly capable of delivering nuclear and conventional warheads with pin-point accuracy. The low altitude missile’s accuracy is reported to be comparable to Babur cruise missile, a first land attack cruise missile to be inducted by Pakistan.
