SNSP Abhiyaan:
Duration: PM Narendra Modi launched the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSP), a health & empowerment campaign for women and Children in India, held from 17th September to 2nd October 2025.
- During the event, under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), cash benefits were distributed to more than 15 lakh beneficiaries across India.
Dignitaries: Some of the dignitaries, including Chief Minister (CM) of MP Dr. Mohan Yadav, were also present. Union Minister Jagat Prakash (JP) Nadda, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Union Minister Annpurna Devi, Ministry of Women & Child Development (MoWCD) and others virtually attended the event.
Health Camps: SNSP Abhiyaan, jointly led by the MoHFW and the MoWCD, marks the largest health outreach programme for women and children in India.
- During the campaign, more than 10 lakh health camps will be set up across India in places such as Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Community Health Centres (CHCs), District Hospitals, and other government health facilities.
- These camps will provide easy access to health check-ups, treatment, and advice focused on women and children, covering prevention, awareness, and care at the community level.
Treated Diseases: It will strengthen screening, early detection, and treatment linkages for non-communicable diseases, Anaemia, Tuberculosis (TB), and Sickle Cell Disease, hypertension, reproductive health issues, breast and cervical cancer, and diabetes.
Prevention care: It promotes maternal, child, and adolescent health through antenatal care, immunization, nutrition, menstrual hygiene, lifestyle and mental health awareness activities.
- It will also encourage healthy lifestyle practices to prevent obesity, improved nutrition, and participation in voluntary blood donation
Services: Specialist services, including Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Eye, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), Dental, Dermatology, and Psychiatry will be mobilized through medical colleges, District Hospitals, Central Government institutions, and private hospials.
Central Government Institutions: It includes All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), Defence and Railway hospitals, Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospitals, Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) centres and Institutes of National Importance (INI).
8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah: During the event, he also launched the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah, a National Nutrition Month, held from September 17 to October 16, 2025.
- The key focus includes Addressing Obesity-Reducing Sugar and Oil consumption, Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE)/ Poshab Bhi Padhai Bhi (PBPB), Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) Practices, and Men’s involvement in Nutrition and Caregiving.
Suman Sakhi Chatbot: During the event, he launched the Suman Sakhi Chatbot to raise awareness on maternal and child health. It will provide timely and accurate information to pregnant women in rural and remote areas, ensuring access to essential health services.
- He also distributed 1 crore Sickle Cell Screening and Counselling Card for MP.
MoR Participation in SNSP Abhiyaan: Following the launch of SNSP Abhiyaan, Northern Railway Central Hospital, Ministry of Railways (MoR), announced its participation in the SNSP campaign to strengthen healthcare and nutrition services for women, adolescent girls, and children across India.
- Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, MoR, Satish Kumar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Railway Board, and Ashok Kumar Verma, General Manager (GM), Northern Railway, attended the event.
PM MITRA Park: Inaugurated Prime Minister Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks in Dhar. The park, spanning more than 2,150 acres, will be equipped with modern infrastructure, including Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP), solar power plant, benefiting the cotton cultivators in the region.
Purpose: The park is designed to integrate the entire textile value chain, from raw material (farm) to finished product (fashion), in one location to reduce costs and improve competitiveness.
- Various textile companies have committed to investing Rs.23,410 crore, paving the way for new industries, creating around 3 lakh job opportunities and increasing the exports.
- PM MITRA park in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, is a Greenfield project. This designation means it is a completely new project being constructed on previously undeveloped, or “encumbrance-free,” land.
Note: Brownfield means existing industrial sites with some developed infrastructure that are further built upon.
Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan: PM Modi launched Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan, an initiative by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA). It is a responsive governance mission envisaged as the world’s largest tribal grassroots leadership programme, covering 11 crore tribal citizens across 1 lakh villages in 30 States and Union Territories.
- It was launched as part of the celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh, observed from 15th November 2024 to 15th November 2025, by the Government of India (GOI).
Adi Seva Parv:Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Adi Seva Parv under Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, it will act as a bridge to connect the tribal communities with various government schemes.
- Adi Seva Parv is launched as a festival of service, will roll out a range of activities in tribal regions, focusing on health, education, nutrition, skill development, livelihood enhancement, sanitation, water conservation and environmental protection.
