Overview: On October 30 2025, PM Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated and laid foundation stones for projects across tourism, sports, infrastructure, and sustainability, advancing Ekta Nagar’s transformation into an integrated and sustainable development model.
Flagging off E-buses: He flagged off 25 new electric(e)-buses worth Rs.30 crore, increasing the fleet to 55 electric buses that provide free transport services for tourists in Ekta Nagar
- The 9-metre(m) Air Conditioner (AC) e-buses offer a 180 kilometer (km)range per charge and include accessibility features like a lifting system for differently-abled passengers.
Infrastructure Projects: He inaugurated various newly completed projects including the Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (GSEC) and Sardar Sarovar Narmada Limited (SSNL) Quarters, constructed at a cost of Rs 56.33 crore; Birsa Munda Bhavan (worth Rs 303 crore); the Hospitality District (Phase-I) (built at a cost of Rs 54.65 crore) at Garudeshwar; Satpura Protection Wall and Riverfront (Rs 20.72 crore); Approach Road (Rs.5.55 crore), e-bus charging depot (Rs 5.2 crore) and smart bus stops phase-II (Rs 4.68 crore).

Release of Commemorative Coin and Stamp:
To mark Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, PM Modi released a Rs.150 commemorative coin issued by the Ministry of Finance(MoF) and unveiled a special Rs.5 postal stamp issued by India Post, Ministry of Communication.
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Celebrations:
On October 31 2025, PM Narendra Modi participated in the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations and paid floral tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
- During the celebrations, PM Modi administered the Ekta Diwas Pledge and witnessed the Ekta Diwas Parade in Ekta Nagar.
