On May 26, 2025, the renowned Indian athlete and Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra has been appointed as the brand ambassador of Mumbai (Maharashtra) based Audi India, marking a collaboration bringing together two entities powered by performance, precision, and a positive mindset.
- The announcement of the appointment was made by the Mumbai (Maharashtra) based JSW Sports Private Limited, the sports division of the JSW Group, for which Neeraj Chopra is already a brand ambassador.
About Neeraj Chopra:
i.Neeraj Chopra is an Indian track and field athlete specializing in the javelin throw. He has earned international recognition as one of the most accomplished javelin athletes in history.
ii.In 2016, he set a world Under 20 (U20) record with a throw of 86.48 metres (m) at the International Association of Athletic Federation (IAAF) World U20 Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
iii.He won gold medals at the Commonwealth Games (86.47m) and the Asian Games (88.06m) in 2018.
iv.He won India’s first gold medal in athletics with a throw of 87.58 m at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, becoming the first Indian to win an Olympic gold in athletics and only the second Indian to win an individual Olympic gold medal after Abhinav Bindra.
v.In 2023, he became the first Asian to win gold in Javelin at the World Athletics Championships (88.17m), held in Budapest, Hungary.
vi.He won a silver medal at the Paris Olympics (89.45m), held in France in 2024.
vii.He achieved a personal best throw of 90.23 m in 2025, breaking the 90-m barrier and setting a new benchmark for Indian javelin throwers.

In May 2025, Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL), the state-owned manufacturer of the iconic Mysore Sandal Soap, appointed Bollywood actress Tamannaah Bhatia as its brand ambassador under a two-year contract worth Rs.6.2 crore.
