In December 2024, the United Kingdom (UK) based global travel data provider Official Airline Guide (OAG) released a report titled “Busiest Flight Routes in the World 2024”. According to the report, the Mumbai(BoM)-Delhi route in India ranked the 8th busiest domestic route in the world in 2024, with airlines operating 7.963 million seats. In 2023, it was in 9th place with 7.276 million seats.
- The Busiest International Airline Route in 2024 is Hong Kong(HKG) to Taipei (TPE) with 6.8 million seats.
- Cairo(CAI) to Jeddah(JED) with 5.5 million seats and Seoul Incheon(ICN) to Tokyo Narita (NRT) 5.4 million seats secured 2nd and 3rd position, respectively in the Busiest International Airline Route in 2024.
