Novak Djokovic (Serbia) defeated Jannik Sinner (Italy) to win the men’s singles title in Nitto Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) finals 2023, held from 12th -19th November 2023 at the Pala Alpitour stadium in Turin, Italy.
- This marks Novak Djokovic’s 7th ATP finals title, which includes 2008, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2022, and 2023. With this, Djokovic broke Roger Federer’s record of six ATP Finals titles.
Novak Djokovic Records:
i.With 24 Grand Slam titles, Djokovic won three out of four grand slams in 2023 including the Australian Open 2023, the French Open 2023, and the US Open 2023.
ii.Djokovic is at the top of the list of winning the most number of Grand Slams with 24 titles while Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are in the second and third position with 22 and 20 Grand Slams respectively.
iii.Djokovic also became the first player to hold the No. 1 ATP ranking (Total Weeks At No. 1) for 400 weeks (November 19 2023), Roger Federer(310 weeks) was the only other player who held the No. 1 rank for more than 300 weeks.
iv.Novak Djokovic also won his eighth ATP Year-End No. 1 presented by Pepperstone when he defeated Holger Rune in his opening match at the Nitto ATP Finals.
- This award was presented to Novak Djokovic because he held the No. 1 spot in the Pepperstone ATP Rankings for 27 weeks in 2023 (As of Nov 19 2023).
Men’s Doubles:
i.Rajeev Ram(United States of America-USA) and Joe Salisbury(United Kingdom-UK) won the ATP Finals men’s doubles 2023 title by defeating Marcel Granollers(Spain) and Horacio Zeballos (Argentina) in the finals.
- This marks Ram and Salisbury’s pair second ATP Finals title including their win in 2022 and 2023.
ii.Rohan Bopanna(India) and Matthew Ebden(Australia) pair lost to Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in the semifinals of the ATP men’s Doubles Finals.

Iga Swiatek Wins the Women’s singles title at the WTA Finals 2023
Iga Swiatek(Poland) defeated Jessica Pegula(U.S.A) to win the women’s singles title at the 2023 GNP Seguros Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Finals.
- The first-time WTA Finals title winner Iga Swiatek was given the WTA Finals Billie Jean King Trophy.
- The 22-year-old Iga Swiatek was the youngest WTA Finals title winner since Petra Kvitova(Czech Republic) won in 2011 at the age of 21.
- Iga Swiatek was named the year-end No. 1 ranking (Women’s Singles) by WTA
Women’s Doubles:
Laura Siegemund(Germany) and Vera Zvonareva(Unflagged – Russia) defeated Nicole Melichar-Martinez(U.S.A) and Ellen Perez(Australia) to win the Women’s Doubles title at the WTA Finals.
- The winning women’s doubles pair was presented with the WTA Finals Martina Navratilova doubles trophy.
