Mariyam Asif Siddiqui, a Muslim Girl, has won the first Prize at an inter-school Bhagavad Gita competition “Gita Champions League”, organized in Mumbai for the past four years. There were around 45000 students from 195 school,who come from diverse economic, social and religious backgrounds, who participated in the competition organized by ISKCON, for explaining the teachings of the scripture in the best possible manner.
The Gita, which is believed to be the divine advice of Lord Krishna, is a 700 Verse Hindu scripture, a part of the great epic, Mahabharata.
