In May 2025, the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions (MoPPG&P), announced the winners of the National Anubhav Awards Scheme, 2025. The awards aim to encourage retiring and retired employees to document and share their valuable work experiences and insights through written submissions.
- A two-tier evaluation process was conducted, leading to the selection of 5 Anubhav Awardees and 10 Jury Certificate winners.
- The Anubhav Awards and Jury Certificates will be conferred on August 18, 2025, during a national-level event by Union Minister of State (MoS) (Independent Charge, IC) Dr. Jitendra Singh, MoPPG&P.
About the Anubhav Awards Scheme:
i.The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) under the MoPPG&P launched the online ‘Anubhav’ platform in March 2015 on the directions of Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi.
- It provides a forum for retired Central Government employees to share write-ups about their service, fostering a culture of documentation and institutional memory.
ii.Since its launch, 10,886 write-ups have been published from 98 organizations, leading to the conferment of 59 Anubhav Awards and 19 Jury Certificates.
iii.The Anubhav Awardees will receive a medal, a certificate, and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000, while the Jury Certificate winners will be honoured with a medal and a certificate.
Highlights of National Anubhav Awards 2025:
i.For the first time, the 2025 edition of the scheme included employees from Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and Public Sector Banks (PSBs), along with Central Government officials, to acknowledge their role in nation-building.
ii.The scheme evaluated write-ups published between April 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025
iii.A total of 1,459 write-ups were received from 42 Ministries/
Departments/Organizations, up from 30 in the previous year, under the Anubhav Outreach Programme.
