MoHFW Achieved 3 Guinness World Record Titles under Women’s Health Campaign SNSPA

In October 2025, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has achieved 3 Guinness World Record titles under the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan (SNSPA), a health and empowerment campaign for women and children in India.

  • The Guinness World Record recognition showcases India’s unified effort through government initiatives, digital health innovation, and community participation toward the vision of “Healthy Women, Empowered Families, and Viksit Bharat.”

Guinness World Records Achieved:

India achieved three Guinness World Record titles under the campaign, which are as follows:

Maximum Registration: The campaign has set the record of the highest number of people to register for a healthcare platform in a single month – 3,21,49,711 (Over 3.21 Crore)

Maximum screening for breast cancer: 9,94,349 (Over 9.94 lakh) people had signed up for breast cancer screening online in one week.

Maximum screening for vital signs: 1,25,406 (Over 1.25 lakh) people had signed up for vital signs screening online in one week (at state level).

About Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan (SNSPA):

Launched by: On September 17 2025, Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi launched this nationwide campaign, which was concluded on October 02, 2025. 

The campaign was organised in conjunction with Poshan Maah (Nutrition Month).

Led by: This initiative was jointly led by MoHFW in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD).

Whole-of-government Approach: The campaign followed the ‘whole-of-government’ approach as it witnessed the participation of over20 ministries and departments (including central government institutes, medical colleges, and private organisations).

Focus Areas: The campaign was designed to focus on areas like: enhancing the health and nutrition of women, adolescent girls, and children; strengthening early detection; ensuring access to essential health services; and empowering families to adopt healthier lifestyles.

Heath Camps: 19.7 lakh health camps were organised in every district across the country, with a footfall of over 11 crore on all healthcare platforms.

Whole-of-Society Approach: Based on this approach, over 5 lakh panchayat representatives, more than 1.14 crore school and college students, 94 lakh Self-Help Group (SHG) members; and 5 lakh members of various community platforms participated in the campaign.

Key Outcomes: The MoH&FW has outlined some of the key outcomes of the campaign:

  • More than 1.78 crore hypertension screenings; 1.73 diabetes screenings; 69.5 lakh oral cancer screenings; 62.6 lakh antenatal care check-ups; 1.43 crore vaccine doses and 1.51 crore anaemia tests.
  • Under this campaign, over 85.9 lakh women were screened for Tuberculosis (TB); 10.2 lakh for sickle cell disease; and 2.14 crore individuals participated in counselling and wellness sessions.
  • Also, during the campaign, more than 2.68 Nikshay Mitras, refers to individuals who pledge their support to TB patients under the TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), were registered with the active participation of My Bharat Volunteers.
  • The campaign saw participation from over 5 lakh Panchayati Raj representatives, 1.14 crore students, 94 lakh SHG members, and 5 lakh community participants.
