In 2015, number of domestic tourist visits: 1432.0 million
In 2014, number of domestic tourist visits: 1282.8 million
% growth in 2015 compared to 2014: 11.63%

- The top ten states contributing around 83.62% to the total number of contribution
- Tamilnadu and Uttar Pradesh have retained the top two ranks
- Andhra Pradesh has hold the third position leaving Karnataka and Maharashtra fourth and fifty positions respectively
- Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal have maintained the rankings
- Gujarat shown significant increase trend and jumped to ninth rank leaving Rajasthan at the Tenth
- Jharkhand state lost its top 10 rankings

- Goa re-entered the rankings and Haryana dropped from the list
