On 23rd October 2020, Yashomati Thakur, Maharashtra’s Minister of Women and Child Welfare launched the digital platform “Tarang Suposhit Maharashtracha”, of the Women and Child Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra. The initiative aims to fulfil the nutritional needs of the lactating mothers and children of the state.
About Tarang Suposhit Maharashtracha:
The Tarang Suposhit Maharashtracha platform is based on an interactive voice response system, which is aimed to create awareness on the nutritional requirements of the women and children.
This will support the state to achieve the targets of empowered women, healthy children and nutritious maharashtra.
i.The platform provides facilities like helpline, broadcast call, whatsapp chatbot among others.
ii.The helpline number 8080809063 provides the guidance in the nutrition diet, care to pregnant women, lactating mothers and parents.
iii.The platform also features short films with information about nutrition and a series of videos on special recipes of nutritional dishes.
iv.This interactive, informative and entertaining platform also provides animated videos and series and the videos also feature the importance of the father’s role in fulfilling the nutritional needs of the family.

On July 6, 2020 Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray launched the ‘Maha Jobs Portal’ (https://mahajobs.maharashtra.gov.in/), an online platform to provide employment opportunities to local residents of the state by connecting job seekers with employers.
