Magnus Carlsen retains World Championship

Magnus Carlsen, the Norwegian Chess Grandmaster has retained his No 1 spot by winning the 11 th game at 2014 FIDE World Chess Championship in Sochi, Russia against Indian Chess player Viswanathan Anand.

Carlsen defended the title with score 6.5-4.5 against Anand. Of the total 12 games, carlsen won game no (2,6,11), while Anand won game no 3 (Game 4 and 5 were drawn).

Carlsen has won in 10 games against Anand during the 2013 FIDE World Chess Championship in Chennai, India.
