In September 2025, American global financial advisory firm, Kroll released the annual edition of report titled ‘Kroll Celebrity Brand Valuation 2024’. As per the report, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has retained the top spot in 2024 with a brand value of USD 231.1 million, marking an increase of nearly 2% from USD 227.9 million in 2023.
- Renowned Indian Actor Ranveer Singh retained 2nd position on the list, despite witnessing decline of 16% in his overall brand value i.e. from USD 203.1 million (in 2023) to USD 170.7 million (in 2024).
- Bollywood Star and Padma Shri Awardee Shah Rukh Khan continues to hold 3rd spot for the 2nd consecutive year, with his total brand value increasing by nearly 21% to USD 145.7 million.

Overall Brand Value: Cumulatively, India’s top 25 celebrities including movie stars and sportspersons, accounted the brand value of USD 2 billion in 2024, marking an increase of over 8.6% compared to the last year.
Share of Overall Brand Value: Bollywood celebrities’ together accounted 65% of overall brand value of India’s top 25 celebrities in 2024, followed by sports persons (28.4%).
- The report further highlighted that the overall brand valuation of Tollywood stars has increased from 3.6% (in 2023) to 6.6% (in 2024).
Shifts in Entertainment Industry: The report highlighted significant shifts in the entertainment industry of India for instance: the box office share of South Indian cinema surged to 47.7% in 2024, while Hindi films share decreased to 39.5%.

Highest Brand Value Growth: Bharat Ratna Awardee and Legendary Indian Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar ranked at 5th position in 2024, with total brand valuation of USD 112.2 million, compared to USD 91.3 million (in 2023).
Most Valued Female Celebrity: As per the latest rankings, famous Indian actor Alia Bhatt ranked at 4th spot (up from 3rd spot in 2023) with total brand valuation of USD 116.4 million, has emerged as the most valued female celebrity in the list.
- Also, she is the only female celebrity featured on the top 5 of the list.
Other Top 10 Valued Celebrities: Indian actors: Akshay Kumar (6th spot, USD 108 million); Deepika Padukone (USD 102.9 million); Hrithik Roshan (9th, USD 92.2 million); Amitabh Bachchan (10th spot, USD 83. 7 million) and former Captain of Indian Cricket Team Mahendra Singh Dhoni (7th, 102.9 million), were also featured among the top 10 celebrities.
Women Representation: The report showed that only 9 women featured in the top 25 celebrities’ list for 2024, compared to 8 women in 2023 list.
- Among the top 10 Indian celebrities on the list, only two female celebrities’ i.e. famous Indian actresses Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone ranked at 4th and 7th spot, respectively.
Big Gainers: Famous Indian Actress Rashmika Mandanna rank has significantly improved from 20th spot (in 2023) to 15th (in 2024), with overall brand valuation of USD 58.9 million.
- Similarly, the ranking of Indian Actress Kriti Sanon, co-founder of Skincare brand Hyphen, surged from 27th to 19th (USD 44.8 million); famous Indian Actress Tamannah Bhatia (USD 40.4 million) rose to rank 21st from 28th and Indian Cricketer Jasprit Bumrah (USD 38.1 million), from rank 41st to 22nd.
Most Valued Sportspersons: Apart from Virat Kohli, Indian sportspersons/ cricketers featured in the top 25 celebrities’ list are: Sachin Tendulkar; Mahendra Singh(MS) Dhoni; Rohit Sharma (ranked at 17th spot, USD 48.4 million); Hardik Pandya (ranked at 20th, USD 43.1 million) and Jasprit Bumrah.
Debutant: For the 1st time, Indian Actress Ananya Pandey featured among the top 25 celebrities’ list i.e. at 25th spot with total brand valuation of USD 35.2 million, up from 46th position in 2023.
