Home Minister Rajnath Singh approved the appointment of Kewal K Sharma as the Chief Secretary of Delhi. Shri Kewal Sharma, a 1983 batch Senior IAS officer, was appointed as the Chief secretary of Delhi on 3rd March 2015. Sharma assumed charge as Chief Secretary on  9th March 2015.
Previously, he had been serving as the Chief Secretary of Goa. Sharma had rendered service in many parts of the country, which includes Delhi, Goa, Lakshadweep, Arunachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh. He was posted in Delhi as the principal secretary of PWD from 2011 to 2014 and has also been the Commissioner (housing), DDA and the project Director of Dwarka sub-city.
