Kerala Tourism Department wins the silver prize of Golden Gate award for its global multimedia campaign to promote the backwaters of Kerala. The award was presented at the Internationale Tourismus-Borse Berlin (ITB-Berlin) 2015, Germany. The ITB-Berlin is considered as the World’s largest tourism trade fair. Kerala Tourism Secretary G Kamala Vardhana Rao and Joint Secretary in the Union Tourism Ministry Suman Billa have received the prestigious award.
This is the second consecutive time that the campaign has been recognized at ITB Berlin. In 2014, the Kerala Tourism had won the Gold Prize in the print category.
Goa Tourism has won the international award in the ‘Best Wedding and Honeymoon Destination‘ category. The award was given by Pacific Area Travel Writers Association.
