On 28th October 2020, The Asian Film Awards Academy (AFAA) announced the winners of the 14th Asian Film Awards (AFA14) held at Busan, South Korea. Karsh Kale and the Salvage Audio Collective won the Best Original Music Award 2020 for the film Gully Boy directed by Zoya Akhtar. Yang Ik-Joon, South Korean Actor and Director presented the Award.
14th Asian Film Awards(AFA14):
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the award presentation of the AFA14 was broadcasted online over the AFAA Website & YouTube channel and Busan’s Asian Contents & Film market websites.
Gully Boy:
i.The film Gully Boy starring Ranveer Singh as the budding rappers who achieve his dream with his music about his life on the streets of Mumbai.
ii.The Salvage Audio Collective is a group of 6 musicians and music producers from Mumbai.
iii.The music of the movie was supervised by Ankur Tewari, composer and singer and the “Apna Time Aayega” track of the film became the anthem.
iv.The film also starred Alia Bhatt, Kalki Koechlin, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Vijay Verma.
