Ace Indian Shooter Jitu Rai (an Indian Army Sub), has won the Bronze medal in the 10 Meter Air Pistol (men) Event in the ongoing ISSF(International Shooting Sport Federation) World Cup Rifle/ Pistol Shooting Competition on 12th April. The Competition is being held at Changwon in South Korea from the 8th to 16th of April.
Jin Jongoh (206 Points) of South Korea won the Gold Medal and Naung Ye Tun (201 Points) of Malaysia won the Silver Medal followed by the Ace Indian Shooter fetching the Bronze medal with 181.1 Points. Jitu Rai is at the 2nd Position in the 50 meter Pistol Men and 7th Position in the 10 Meter Air Pistol Men Category according to the latest ISSF World Rankings.
- Jitu Rai got selected in the 11th Battalian of the Gorkha Regiment and has brought laurels to the country by winning 6 International Titles in a span of only 9 months.
- He works at the Indian Army, Under the 11th Battalian of the Gorkha Regiment and is an Ace Indian Shooter with a number of World Cup medals to his cap.
