Foreign Secretary Jaishankar Subrahmanyam has concluded his four-day SAARC Yatra after meeting Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani in Kabul. He has discussed issues related to development projects, connectivity and security concerns between India and Afghanistan. During the Yatra, he visited Bhutan on March 1st, Bangladesh on March 2nd, Pakistan and Afghanistan on March 3rd and 4th respectively. Jaishankar met the leaders of these countries and discussed the important bilateral issues. He handed over a letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Pakistan Prime Minister Sharif.
- Bhutan – He met Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay and the 4th King of Bhutan Jigme Singye Wangchuck.
- Bangladesh – He met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmud Ali and Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque.Â
- Pakistan – He met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Advisor on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz.Â
- Afghanistan – He met Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and CEO Abdullah Abdullah.
