Indian Swimmer Bhakti Sharma sets World Record

Bhakti Sharma has set a world record in swimming by crossing 1.4 miles in 52 minutes in one degree temperature at Antarctic Ocean. Bhakti Sharma is now the youngest person in the world to achieve this record and also she is the first Asian to do so.

Bhakti Sharma is recipient of Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award in 2010. She has been practicing open water swimming for the last 10 years. She has swum in all the five oceans of the world.
