Indian Navy and Royal Bahrain Naval Force (RBNF) participated in a bilateral Maritime Partnership Exercise at Manama, Bahrain in the Persian Gulf region.
- Indian Naval Ship, INS Kochi, led by Rear Admiral Ajay Kochhar participated in the exercise.
- Prior to the exercise, a coordination and operational planning conference was held between the Indian Navy and Royal Bahrain Navy.
About Indian naval Ship (INS) Kochi
i.It is the 2nd ship of Kolkata class stealth guided missile destroyers.
ii.The ship is constructed by Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL) in Mumbai

In March, 2021, the Indian Navy & RBNF undertook Passage Exercise (PASSEX) in the Persian Gulf under Operation Sankalp. From India’s side ‘INS Talwar Warship took place in the exercise, while the RBNF was represented by the Corvette ‘Al Muharraq’.
