November 26, 2014 is observed as 65 th Indian National Law Day . It was this day in the year 1949, the drafting of the Constitution by the Constituent Assembly which started functioning on 09 December 1946 under the Chairmanship of Dr BR Ambedkar was finished after a span of 2 years, 11 months and 17 days
Unfortunately, it was signed on 24 January 1950 and approved on 26th January 1950 on which date the Constituent Assembly also stoped to exist transforming to the birth of the provisional Parliament of India. So 26 th January is celebrated as Republic day of India, while 26 th November is observed as National Law day of India.
Indian National Bar Association (INBA) organised a 2 day International conference on Law and Policy Issues, to commemorate the 65 th Indian National Law day.
