Indian Army Hosted UNTCC Chiefs Conclave 2025 in New Delhi

In October 2025, the Indian Army (IA) hosted the ‘United Nations Troop Contributing Countries(UNTCC) Chiefs Conclave 2025’ from 14 to 16 October 2025 at the Manekshaw Centre, at Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi, Delhi.

The three day Conclave was inaugurated on 14th October 2025 by Union Minister Rajnath Singh, Ministry of Defence (MoD) in New Delhi.

Bilateral Meetings: General Upendra Dwivedi, COAS, held bilateral talks with Army Chiefs of France, Bhutan, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Uruguay, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Vietnam.

  • Vice Chief Lieutenant Geneneral Pushpendra Singh held meetings with Italy and Armenia

Technology, Culture, and Defence Showcase:

Demonstration: On 15th October 2025, UNTCC Chiefs visited Agra (Uttar Pradesh, UP) for an Integrated New Age Technology Demonstration by the IA, showcasing new-generation indigenous equipment aligned with Atmanirbharata.

Visits to Agra, UP: Taj Mahal, Heritage Centre (Kalakriti), and Red Fort Light & Sound Show

Defence Expo: A Defence Expo was organised featuring 9 operational domains and 41 exhibitors showcasing indigenous weapon systems and platforms.
Tribute: Delegates paid tribute at National War Memorial, New Delhi, Delhi

Valedictory Session: 

President address: On 16th October 2025, President of India, Droupadi Murmu, interacted with the UNTCC Chiefs at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi, appreciating their commitment to global peace.

Industry Session: “Leveraging Technology in UN Peacekeeping” with participation from 15 industry leaders

Key Outcomes:

TCC Participation: Strengthened the voice of 32 Troop-Contributing Countries (TCCs) in UN decision-making, includes,

  • Algeria, Armenia, Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, Burundi, Cambodia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Fiji, France, Ghana, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Poland, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Senegal, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Uruguay, and Vietnam.

Training & Interoperability: Developed interoperability and training frameworks for complex missions.
Global Cooperation: Reinforced collective responsibility, cooperation, and sustainability in global peace efforts.

India’s Peacekeeping Deployment: 

Contribution: India has deployed nearly 3 lakh peacekeepers across more than 50 United Nations (UN) missions worldwide.

Support: The Centre for United Nations Peacekeeping (CUNPK) in New Delhi (Delhi) serves as the key institution supporting training, coordination, and capacity building for Indian peacekeepers.

Policy: India upholds a “No National Caveat” policy, ensuring impartial and unrestricted participation in all UN peacekeeping operations.
