The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIMN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT) to build competencies and generate industry-oriented knowledge in transport management.
The MoU was signed in presence of
- Nitin Gadkari (Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways; and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises)
- CP Gurnani (Managing Director(MD) and Chief Executive officer(CEO), Tech Mahindra )
Key Points:
i.Since this agreement is between Pune, an established automobile hub and Nagpur, the logistics hub and centre of the country,it will help in the development of the automobile hub of the country, particularly in the transport sector.
ii.Under this agreement,corporate and government professionals will be given executive training and other educational programmes.
iii.It provides for research collaboration and consultancy engagements between the two institutions.
