On 15th July 2020, India and Russia explores to activate the joint projects in Asia and Africa in the webinar on “India-Russia Relations in the Context of Post-Pandemic Global order”. The discussions were chaired by TCA Raghavan, Director General of ICWA and organised by Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) and Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA).
Note:
The joint conferences of ICWA and RIAC were held since 2017 alternatively in Moscow and New Delhi.
Subjects discussed in the webinar:
i.The potential of digital technologies to activate economic relations and the reforms on the current negative trends.
ii.India and Russia plan to create an ecosystem of startups and venture funds for the development of information technology (IT).
iii.The recent trends, relations, challenges and opportunities faced by India and Russia during the global pandemic due to COVID-19 and the possible options for developing the international economy amid the pandemic.
iv.The development stimulated in the field of IT across the globe due to pandemic which was the long term priority of both India and Russia.
v.The security challenges in the area of social and food security and healthcare due to COVID-19.
vi.The need for cooperation and interdependence to develop the vaccine for COVID-19.
vii.The bilateral trade problems due to the non-traffic and logistics barriers.
