On 23rd June 2022 ICICI Bank launched a digital platform, ‘Campus Power’, first-of-its-kind to address the needs of the students aspiring to pursue higher education in India and abroad. It is also available for other bank customers also.
- This is a one-stop platform, designed to assist the entire student ecosystem comprising students, parents and institutes.
Highlights:
i.Campus Power offers financial products ranging from bank accounts including overseas accounts, education loan and its tax benefit, foreign exchange solutions, payment solutions, cards, other loans and investments.
ii.In addition, the platform also provides information about value-added services related to higher studies in India and foreign countries including Canada, UK, Germany, USA and Australia.
- The enlisted partners provide value-added services on courses/universities, destinations, admission counselling, test preparation, overseas accommodation, and travel assistance.
iii.The first branch of ICICI on student ecosystem has been set up at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and seven more will be added.
- ICICI Bank launched the platform right before the commencement of the fall season abroad and at the beginning of the academic year in India.
About Campus Power:
i.Services offered include funding education, assistance on finding out the course and the university both in India and abroad, helping students to prepare themselves for tests, offering debit or credit cards, and creating overseas student accounts.
ii.The platform offers parents with education loans and remittance services to support the child’s education journey.
- Additionally, it has other solutions in terms of savings accounts, investment products, travel, and health insurance.
iii.For the platform, ICICI bank has collaborated with companies like IDP Education (for admission counselling, information on universities, and online test prep), the British Council (for IELTS preparation and English language improvement courses), Casita (for accommodation solutions), and EaseMyTrip (for travel booking).
