Hello Readers,
With IBPS PO MAINS on October 31 2015 in two shifts on a single day, the most awaiting exam of the year is over with mixed reviews by the exam takers about the exam. If we talk about the overall paper, it was easy to moderate but yes this time the pattern of exam was somewhat changed by IBPS. It removed some questions like quadratic equations, inequalities in reasoning section, etc.

Here we are posting the complete exam review section wise.

Quant Section:-

Quant section was fine this time. But yes students were searching for quadratic equations and simplification questions but they were missing. Also no probability and permutation/combination questions.

  • Data Interpretation – 4 sets (5 questions each) – 2 easy, 2 not that easy
  • Number series – 5 questions (asked to find wrong number in series)
  • Data Sufficiency – 5 questions (easy)
  • Questions from other topics including Partnership, Time and Work, SI, Averages, Boat n Stream, Profit/Loss, Mixture n Alligation – 20 questions (easy to moderate)

Reasoning Section:-

Reasoning section was too time consuming. There were no inequalities questions, no coding decoding. Blood relation was there but that too in circular arrangement.
The section was full of puzzles. Data available for solving the puzzles was confusing as it did not contain direct relationship between entities. It contained information like – A does not like this n this color or does not like this movie. B lives on odd numbered floor. There are three people between C and one who likes Jazz (but it was not given C was above or below). In short all confusing information that u have to read data 3-4 times n interlink all the given data.

  • Syllogism – 5 questions (from 5 conclusions which one does not follow)
  • Data Sufficiency – 5 questions (easy)
  • Input/Output – 5 questions (moderate to understand, but time consuming to make the output of given input)
  • Puzzles n Arrangements – 5 sets (25 questions)
  • Critical Reasoning (probable reason, weak argument, etc) – 10 questions (easy to moderate)

English Section:-

English section was easy to moderate as always.

  • Reading Comprehension – 1 passage (20 questions) – moderate
  • Cloze test – 5 questions (easy)
  • Error spotting – 5 questions (easy)
  • Sentence Improvement – 5 questions (easy)
  • Parajumbles – 5 questions (moderate)

General Awareness Section:-

General Awareness section was easy – 4 to 5 questions on yojanas and schemes of present central government (KVP, MUDRA, jan dhan yojana, etc), author-book, 1 obituary, banking awareness, RBI related. In static gk, questions were about headquarters of organizations, one national park, one important day, 1 country-capital, 1 country-currency, census 2011, Nobel prize 2015, etc. The overall section was easy carrying good questions.

Computer Section:-

Computer section was very easy. One could attempt 16-18 questions easily. Most questions were from previous ibps papers with the exact options like which is not a valid version of office, other name of chip, warm booting, about RAM, virus, .docx extension, network interface card, bios, etc.

All the Best for Upcoming Exams
