Hello everyone,
One of our reader Gautam Ulaganathan has shared his success story with us. You can learn from his experience and keep hard working and hoping for the best.
Name – Gautam Ulaganathan
State -Tamil nadu
Qualification – B.E
I am a silent reader of AffairsCloud. I desperately want to share my success story with you. And I assure it’s worth reading. I completed my B.E. in May 2013. I didn’t get any job during campus interviews. My father passed away when I was 16 and the only choice left to me after college was “Go, earn something to keep your mother survive”, which I eventually did for 3 years.
I was fine with whatever I was doing (some days I did coolie works which many graduates won’t even dream of) up until Fools day 2016. That was the day when my best friend’s elder brother cried loudly after failing to cross IBPS final hurdles.
That day changed my life and after that I wanted to become a banker. As I am so good in English & Maths (I was the school topper throughout my studies), I thought it was possible to crack bank exams easily. I applied for SBI Clerk 2016 and fell short by 4 marks in mains.
Thankfully, that was the wake-up alert I needed. I applied for 2 more exams last year namely IBPS PO & Clerk 2017. I and My best’s brother appeared for PO mains, which I passed and he didn’t. The next day, I found him hanging inside his room, the scene I wish no one in the world should see.
After that, I became polite and humble, as I still think I am the primary reason for his death. After I went to PO interview & Clerk mains, with no real smile on my face. But Interviewers believed my smile and to my surprise awarded me 70 marks, as I did nothing special than smiling all-day and giving brutal-honest & short answers in interview hall. 70 marks is Good enough in interview to see my name shortlisted for Punjab National Bank, my first preference. In Clerk, I am allotted to Union Bank of India.
Now I want to thank everyone, especially my mother, my best friend & his brother, AffairsCloud for your support & inputs and my lucky charm Dhivya for being the stress buster.
“Work hard in silence let your success be your noise”
All the Best !!!!!
