Goa Government collaborates with IBM to provide free skills trainingOn 2nd March, 2021, International Business Machines (IBM) India partnered with the state government of Goa to provide free online courses to students, Job seekers & Entrepreneurs of the state. This initiative is aimed at upskilling 10,000 youths across 10 institutions in 1 year through IBM SkillBuild Program.

Objective – To enhance the technical and professional skills to students, Job Seekers & Entrepreneurs.

About the Skill Training Program:

i.The program is jointly Implemented by IBM India, Department of Technical Education, Goa and REACHA (Research and Extension Association for Conservation Horticulture and Agroforestry).

ii.Personalised coaching and experimental learning module is provided on Information & Communication Technology (ICT).

About IBM SkillsBuild Program:

i.It is an online platform that provides Free digital courses in ITC sectors like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, Cyber Security etc.

ii.The program has over 1lakh beneficiaries in Indian in 2021 alone.

iii.This Skill Development platform was launched by IBM India in November 2019.
