Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) & Google partners with MyGov India to jointly formulate an Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven Agriculture Hackathon that was conducted from 7-9 April 2021.
Target – To encourage start-ups and institutions for finding innovative solutions to address India’s water scarcity problem through AI solutions.
i.The hackathon is aimed at conserving freshwater usage, and addressing water scarcity problems in India.
ii.Use of AI in agriculture will improve farmers access to markets, inputs, data, advisory, credit and insurance.
Note – 3 organization has decided to partner on March 22, 2021 during the World Water Day, 2021.
About MyGov India:
i.Launched by the Government of India in July 2014, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
ii.It is a web portal, specifically designed for citizens to interact with Industrial experts to contribute to Social & Economic transformation of India.
