The Union Home Ministry issued guidelines to schools across the country on safety measures in wake of terror attacks in a Peshawar school. Home Ministry has written to the schools in the country about building concrete boundary wall, multiple gates with three security guards for each of them. Other priorities the school includes
- Telephone connectivity
- CCTVs with recording facilities
- Proper lighting
- Walkie talkie communication among guards
- Alarm system
- centralized public announcement system.Â
The guidelines for schools includes asking them to prepare an escape plan for students in case of a terror attack, how to prevent hostage situation, how to raise alarm and shut doors and gates in case of an emergency.
