Himachal Pradesh panchayati raj department wins 1st prize under e-Panchayat Puraskars 2020 for effective implementation of e-applications, developed by the central government & other applications developed by the state government. The prize will be given by Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
Key Points
All 3,226 panchayats of Himachal Pradesh were provided with internet facilities to help people access various services online like family registration, registration of birth, death and marriages.

The e-panchayat puraskar is given to states that have made maximum use of Information Technology to monitor the works of the panchayat
